As the weather starts to warm up, the Gold Coast truly starts to come into its own and the northern end of the coast is packed full of things to do. It’s close to the theme parks, the best dining precincts, the Broadwater and our famous Gold Coast beaches. There really is no better place to stay. While you’re here, make sure you check out the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, visit the Spit for a laid back afternoon beach side, or get your adrenaline pumping at the V8 Supercars!
Gold Coast Aquatic Centre
Gold Coast Aquatic Centre
The Gold Coast Aquatic Centre is a world-class swimming facility. The perfect place to bring the kids, no matter their age, or just to enjoy a swim. You can race in the competition pool, where the athletes in the coming Commonwealth Games will be winning medals. Or simply relax poolside, watch your kids in the children’s splash pool, dive from the dive boards, or enjoy a quiet meal in the café overlooking the Broadwater. The perfect place to be if the weather is a little less beach friendly, or you want to enjoy a relaxed swim without the sand and waves!
Another wonderful place to visit is the Spit, as it’s known locally, as it is a local favourite. Pick up some fish and chips from Pete’s on the way in, park your car and enjoy one of the most spectacular views the coast has to offer. There are quiet little inlets to swim in on one side and the ocean on the other. Watch the boats and luxury yachts cruise past, while you drop a line and catch a fish or two. Stroll out on the rock wall and feel the force of nature around you. There are also a few snorkelling spots the locals love. It’s the perfect spot for a day out.
Movies & board games
Sometimes on holiday, you just want to relax, sometimes the weather doesn’t behave as expected, a little one doesn’t feel to well, or you partied too hard the night before. We make it easy to enjoy a slower paced day. Did you know we have a selection of movies and board games for you to play when you stay with us? Make sure you pop down to reception and see what we have on offer. Some of the best holiday moments can be made with family and friends relaxing over a game or a good movie, simply enjoying the time away spent together.
